Shocking update! Deepika Padukone makes exit from The Intern, project in danger!

Deepika Padukone has been removed from The Intern cast and no official statement has been made on the matter. In a shocking and disappointing development, it has been confirmed that actress Deepika Padukone is no longer part of the Hollywood remake film The Intern. Yes, you read it right, this news has come out of nowhere and that too amidst Deepika making lots of noises at the Cannes film festival 2022.

The much-anticipated film which was scheduled to be released in 2021, but was postponed due to Covid-19 scarce is in danger now. There have been issues with the making of the film from the beginning as the first late veteran actor Rishi Kapoor was selected for the role of a senior intern.

However, his sad demise left us all shocked, and the position was later filled by Big B, Amitabh Bachchan last year Deepika Padukone herself shared the film’s poster on Instagram and captioned her feelings of being fortunate to work with Big B again, and even fans got excited to see Piku’s father-daughter reunion again but seems like it’s not the scene anymore as Deepika is no more the part of this movie.

Deepika hasn’t made any statement regarding her exit as she is currently busy at Cannes Film Festival. Interestingly, Deepika has co-produced this movie so we will have to see what she has to say about the situation.

Rumors have it that actress Parineeti Chopra is the new replacement for the role, however, no official statement has been made by the makers of the film. The film is directed by Amit Sharma, who has directed the super hit film Badhaai Ho previously.

Meanwhile, Deepika was last seen in the movie Gehraiyaan which was released on Amazon Prime Video, the movie failed to impress the fans as it collected only 7 lakhs views in the first 24 hours. Deepika Padukone will be seen next in Shahrukh Khan starrer Pathan and the movie will be released in January 2023.
