Netflix has announced the release of the premiere dates for Borgen: Power and Glory and we could not have been more excited. The series has already released in the Nordics on April 14th and the ratings have already shot up to 8.2/10 on IMDb.
Birgitte Nyborg is back as the newly appointed minister of foreign affairs after being the prime minister of Denmark. Now the crisis arises when oil is found in Greenland through a drilling process. This prompts a clash over control of the Arctic.
This series revolves around some of the most consequential political issues of the modern world including but not limited to the climate crisis. As well as the significance of the Danish Realm over modern politics.
The main aim of the story is to put light on power dynamics and their effects on people both good and bad. This season returns as a sequel to the previous seasons and mostly picks up where things were left off in the previous season.

Borgen was released on the UK in the BBC 4 two years after being broadcasted in Demark. The show gained large viewing and following with the first episode itself. There was a total of one million viewers for the aforementioned.
The series actress Sidse Babett Knudsen has been nominated for ‘International Emmy Award’ for best actress and won the Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series. The series has bagged the Best International TV series at the 2012 British Academy Television Awards.
Critics have termed Borgen to be the best TV show you would ever watch. Reviews as such and the international acclaim gained by the show has made fans excited over the fourth season.
The series has honed such success which has prompted a remake. HBO is on talks with BBC Productions for the same.
Netflix will be releasing Borgen: Power and glory on June 2nd in collaboration with production house SAM Productions for DR.
