Phoebe Dynevor will star in Amazon’s ‘The Outlaws Scarlett & Browne’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Phoebe Dynevor, who starred in the Amazon Studios film “Bridgeton,” will executive produce and star in a new feature film.

Shonda Rhimes’ Netflix blockbuster’s breakout star has joined filmmaker James Bobin’s next thriller “The Outlaws Scarlett & Browne.” Screenwriter Joe Tracz is adapting Jonathan Stroud’s book of the same name.

The film is set in a shattered future England, where gunfights and monsters coexist, and Scarlett McCain, a fearsome outlaw, confronts the odds on a daily basis. When she discovers a wrecked carriage on a lonely road, there is only one survivor: the seemingly hopeless adolescent Albert Browne. New and ruthless adversaries are soon on their trail, and a frantic pursuit continues across England’s shattered landscape. Scarlett must battle to unearth Albert’s previous secrets while also dealing with her own.

Temple Hill Entertainment, founded by Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey, is producing the film. The book was brought in by John Fischer and George Berman, who will oversee Temple Hill’s construction.

This is Dynevor’s second collaboration with Amazon, following the film “Call My Agent.” She’s also an executive producer and actress in Cooper Raiff’s limited series “Exciting Times,” which premiered at Sundance. “I Heart Murder” from Sony Pictures and “The Colour Room” from Sky Cinema are among Dynevor’s other projects.

Bobin recently directed and executive produced Disney Plus’ “The Mysterious Benedict Society,” and will next direct “Percy Jackson & The Olympians.” He is most known for directing “The Muppets,” a film starring Amy Adams and Jason Segel that spawned a sequel. “Da Ali G Show” and “Flight of the Conchords” are among his credits.
