Again a 100% rating from Rotten Tomatoes. This fan-favorite dark anime series aired its first episode on October 3, 2006. It depicts the story of Light Yagami who is an ordinary high schoolboy.

Light comes across a mysterious notebook that kills anyone whose name is written on it. He decides to use it to build a world free of crime and the rest follows as the horror show unfolds further.

2. Stranger Things


We began the post with the mention of this coming of age story and here it is securing the second-highest spot in our list. The disappearance of a boy in Hawkins stirs strange paranormal activities in a small town as a group of young boys and girls get entwined in them.

More about the plot should not be revealed here, but the awesome engaging storyline, the extraordinary actions of the young cast, and the intricate bond that unearths from the nooks of adventure and horror are really noteworthy.

Like ‘Stranger Things, it’s too is a Netflix original. In one word the series is impeccable in terms of being a deft adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s classic novel, marvelous cinematography, outstanding controlling of the viewers’ minds.
