Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’ Featurette Has Emily Blunt Claiming She Can Bench-Press More Than Dwayne Johnson

Emily Blunt Updates: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on a normal day, can lift up to 450 pounds. But Emily Blunt caught him Bench Pressing, he may be on his bad day. They are co-stars in Disney’s upcoming film Jungle Cruise.

Jungle Cruise is the live-action adaptation of Disneyworld’s Theme Park attractions. The new featurette of the film shows Emily Blunt setting record for highest Bench-press with “The Rock”.

The film is being directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who is famous for his horror movies. He also directed the films like the Blake Lively-led shark Tale, The Shallows, which makes us think, maybe water-based films are his strength.

Disney is also no stranger to successful water films, for example, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Pirates of The Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

The Jungle Cruise movie is a live-action adaptation of Disney’s theme park attraction. The movie takes you to the bone-chilling, adventurous ride down the Amazon River accompanied by Skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton.

Lily sets out with the ambition of finding an ancient tree, which has incredible healing power, in the Amazon River. She enlists the help of Frank and they sail down the river in Frank’s charming ‘La Quila’ – a ramshackle. The duo encounters many dangers, and supernatural forces in their journey, as they venture further, their life and the fate of the world are put to test.

The Jungle Cruise ride is one of the biggest attractions in Disney theme park since its inception. The ride has undergone many changes, and some are very recent. The recent change is in 2021 foreshadowing the release of its live-action adaptation.

Hollywood films like The African Queen and the Joseph Conard novel, “Heart of Darkness” have also influenced its part on the Jungle Cruise ride. The refurbished Jungle cruise ride will be reopened on July 16 at Disneyland. And the movie hits the theatre on July 30, 2021.
