Naomi, Ava DuVernay’s new superhero DC drama, and All American spinoff Homecoming are all getting their first looks on the CW. The series, which is based on the 2019 Brian Michael Bendis, David F.

Walker, and Jamal Campbell comic mini-series of the same name, is set to launch in 2022 and has a talented cast of actors and actresses in front of and behind the camera.

A video of the first look is part of a teaser issued by The CW, which also features a peek at returning shows and is set to Coldplay’s “Higher Power” song. Naomi and the readers find that she was born in a parallel reality plagued by environmental issues, with a collapse in the ozone layer leading to the development of strong powers in twenty-nine random people.

Naomi was taken to Earth-Prime and adopted by Greg and Jen McDuffie, who seem to have a connection to the planet Rann, after Zumbado, a mass murderer who had become one of the twenty-nine, began hunting for her.
