The Neighbor Season 2 Updates: Nacho Vigalondo’s Spanish comedy The Neighbor, which premiered on Netflix in December 2019, is reportedly back for another season. Even though the first season was met decently by the fans, it took quite some time for the producers to renew it for a second season.
Now that it would be here soon, here is all you need to know about the superhero comedy:
The show, which is based on Santiago Garcia’s graphic comedy novel, ‘The Greatest American Hero’ revolves around a young man Javier, struggling with adulthood, who suddenly finds himself becoming a superhero.
Javier, whose life was nothing apart from the ordinary, who worked as a journalist and was failing in his relationship, finds his life majorly altered when a dying superhero gives him all his powers.
The show follows his as he explores his new self and tries to use his powers for the right purpose – to protect the civilians and fight the villains.
The Neighbor Season 2: Release Date
The first season, which showed Javier transforming into a superhero Titan, ended with a lot of lose threads and with a clear indication of more seasons being planned. On top of that, being a superhero show, it is highly likely that it won’t end with just a single season.
And we have good news for the fans! Netflix recently announced that the new season for The Neighbor would be out this May on the 21st.
With the series being renewed for a second season in February 2020, it sure made us wait quite a lot for the premiere.
The new season would see familiar faces returning such as Javier (Quim Gutiérrez), Lola (Clara Lago), José Ramón (Adrián Pino), Julia (Catalina Sopelana), Aníbal Gómez (Justo antes de Cristo), Denís Gómez (Unauthorized Living), and Paula Malia (Valeria).
Other actors who would be joining the team this year include Gracia Olayo, Javier Botet, Fran Perea, and Celia de Molina.
