Falcon and the Winter Soldier Writer Teases Series Will Reinvent Early MCU Characters

Falcon and the Winter Soldier Updates: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the title itself denotes that the upcoming Disney+ series is gearing up to show us familiar characters in a new light.

Set in the wake of Avengers: Endgame, the series is going to follow two characters,i.e, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, as they are working to grow beyond the shadow of Steve Rogers and face threat both new and old, which also includes the characters like Helmut Zemo and Sharon Carter.

Also, the writer of the series has given the teaser that we can see more familiar faces from the MCU’s early days with a new twist.

On the recent episode of the Script Apart podcast, there was Writer Derek Kolstad and over the interview which was almost devoted to his time with the John Wick franchise, host Al Hornet took some time to know about the Disney+ series upcoming superhero show which Kolstad helped in the script.

According to me, growing up, everyone would give someone like Robin has done but Robin is such a badass and he became badass in the comics,’ Kolstad said.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier Early MCU Characters

Falcon and the Winter Soldier

In main roles, you’re taking secondary characters and they’re cooler and interesting. There is more humanity and also longing, more suffering, more coming to grips with who and what they are which is cool.

What I think is earlier characters of Marvel movies are coming back and they’re layering them in and reinventing them in the way that it is going to a kind of shit the storyteller structure, which is awesome.

Choosing characters from the days when MCU’s superheroes were still finding their footing and placing them in a post- Endgame world, in which someone else is carrying Steve Rogers’ shield is considered a great storytelling prospect. Also, we know that other characters like Batroc (Georges St-Pierre) are also set to come back alongside Zemo and Carter.

Kolstad’s reference to the character is unknown. Steve and Bucky’s real friends went to this point but that doesn’t leave out various other MCU figures.

Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (William Hurt) is still kicking around as far as we know, as an industrialist Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell), both of whom could make very interesting antagonists for the title characters.

King characters from the days when the superheroes of the MCU were still finding their footing and placing them in a post-Endgame world in which someone else is carrying Steve Rogers’ shield is certainly an interesting storytelling prospect, and we already know that other characters like Batroc (Georges St-Pierre) are also set to come back alongside Zemo and Carter.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is set to premiere next year on Disney+.
