Walking Dead Season 10 Update: The walking dead is all set to drop the third part of its tenth season in February, featuring six new episodes. The tenth season would mean that this is the penultimate season for the hit AMC entertainer with the supersized final season beginning production in 2021.

The season finale of the second part of the tenth season, which was originally supposed to be aired in April of 2020, would not be televised until October as production was halted due to the pandemic. So to fill the void, AMC has decided to release the third part, the aftermath next month.

“It’s in the aftermath of 10A and 10B. It is a part of that story. It’s connected to all that,” The Walking Dead universe’s chief content officer Scott Gimple told ComicBook.com.

“Even like ‘Here’s Negan’ obviously has to do with Negan’s backstory, but even then, that is directly connected to the story coming out of season 10. These episodes, I mean… There were six episodes, six weeks.

They were written in a… We had to go right at it. Angela [Kang], the staff, some writers from the past, from The Walking Dead past, some people who came back to actually work on them.

Everybody just gave it they’re all. And like Fear the Walking Dead, they’re concentrated stories because they’re shot in a way where we only have a couple of characters that we’re focusing on.”

“I just love stories like that,” Gimple said of the anthology-type of format which Season 10C is going to feature. “It’s weird, for all of the intensity and fire that was under everyone to turn out as well, they’re amazing in that ‘Here’s Negan’ is an incredible episode. It’s really strange, the circumstances, how this all came together, but these six episodes are gonna be something that I think people are gonna really, really enjoy.”

AMC has released a trailer for the third part this Thursday and a lot of good stuff is to follow. The gritty survival drama, which first premiered in 2010 has seen a lot of lovable characters throughout the years. The series will ultimately end in 2022 but will continue to live through spin off’s, AMC has confirmed.

In a series that isn’t shy in killing away, its favorite characters, it could be anyone’s guess as to who makes it to the end. If you haven’t caught up with this pop apocalyptic zombie drama, now is a good time to get some popcorn because the fun has just begun and there are quite a bit of nail biters in this one. Literally.
