The Exorcist 2: David Gordon Green the director of the Halloween Trilogy Exorcist 2  speaks at Blumhouse Productions.

The Exorcist 2 Updates: The director of the pilot edition William Friedkin spoke out too. The film  released in 1973 was held in controversy due to its disturbing graphic content but was critically praised. And earned two Oscars at the 46th Academy Awards.

It has been 45 years since the horror genre received its trepidation. But The Exorcist is still regarded as one of the best and scariest horror films ever produced.

In August  this year, the season had a reboot of The Exorcist.

It was speculated the movie was set for a 2021 release date from Morgan Creek Entertainment.

Friedkin was also believed to be involved with the project. But he recently scrambled the news saying there wasn’t “enough money or motivation in the world” to get him to work on an Exorcist reboot.

The Exorcist 2: As of now there has been no news seeds of the new released sowed.

Observer reported Green is expected to direct a sequel to The Exorcist for Blumhouse and Morgan Creek. Jason Blum, David Robinson, and James Robinson are  producing the film.

The Exorcist has gotten a few additions to its legacy over the years.

Exorcist II: The Heretic  projected reprisal of Linda Blair as Regan MacNeil, yet The Exorcist III is often considered the best of the sequels since William Peter Blatty directed the movie.

Fans may be nervous about the new franchise collaboration between Friedkin’s and Green.

Green curated the 2018’s Halloween edition. Which is now being followed up in 2021 with Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends in 2022.

Green’s Halloween has by a long time been fans favourite. And was also one of the highest-grossing horror films of 2018.

With Green and Blum on board, they will likely take a similar approach as Halloween. Reconning all the exocrcist films and their originals.

Blumhouse might get back Blair, which could be a huge draw for The Exorcist 2.
