The crime drama is directed by Ole Endresen and Jens Jonsson. The first season of the show went out on Netflix recently. However, the viewers and fans of the show feel that the season was too short to enjoy the crime drama. Hence, they are waiting for the next season of the show to release.

However, since the first season had just six crime-solving Episodes, the viewers are skeptical about what they will get to see in the next episode. The series will be starring Adam Palsson. He will play the role of the protagonist, Kurt Wallander who is in his early 20s which is decades before we get to know him as the character in Henning Mankell’s books and shows.

Will Young Wallander Be Renewed For Season 2?

As of now, Netflix has not renewed the show for next season. Fans are too concerned about this as the first season comprising six epodes is not able to suffice the need for crime in the show.

However, we should not be drawing any conclusions until now. typically, Netflix takes a month to observe, analyze, and then made a decision on whether to renew a series or not. Hence, we still have to wait for a couple of weeks before being aware of whether the show will have a renewal or not.

It is expected that we will know about the final plans of the show makers by late 2020 or early 2021.

The storyline of the Show

The plot of the show directly begins with the crime-solving scenes of Wallander. This means that there is a lot of space for more adventure in the show. He is shown in his early 20s in the Netflix show. However, he is shown in his 50s in the novel series, The Troubled Man. This means that we will get to see at least thirty years. Also, certain characters differ a lot from the book in the web series in terms of their personality.

For instance, Mona is shown a young girl who works along with refugees in the show. However, in the novel, she is shown Wallander’s hairdresser’s ex-wife.
