Jane Lynch hosts this reboot show – based on the British series, where eight contestants answer rapid-fire questions to win treasure.
Only in the reboot version, during the onset of rapid-fire rounds, there is a voting out of one member during every round – for being the weakest link. The question is, who is the weakest link, and who gets to win the treasure?
The contestants take their turns in answering questions, and consecutive correct ones greatly increase the value of the chain. Incorrect ones break the chain, forcing these unsuspecting contestants to start all over on the lowest rung, with the treasure being the smallest.
At the end of each round, contestants vote to eliminate fellow contestants they consider to be the ‘weakest link’ in the chain. The contestants with the highest number of votes leaves the game as Jane declares in a true iconic phrase ‘You are the weakest link. Goodbye’.
