We all have crushes but most of us aren’t lucky to have them in our life, but it’s not the case with popular Hollywood singer and songwriter Usher.
The 45-year-old Usher is one of the luckiest human beings on earth who managed to date his crush and that too for a long time.
Usher recently had an interview with Essence Magazine where he talked about his crush on Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas when he was just 12. A decade later, Usher managed to get into a relationship with her crush at the age of 23 while Chilli was 30 at that time.
Usher was rising as one of the most popular singers at that time and it helped him to shoot his shot successfully.
The two dated for three years and they were one of the most talked about couples during that time, they eventually got engaged in 2004, only to get separated within a few months after their engagement.
Usher also admitted that he was crazy for Chilli, considered her his superstar, and was her number one fan, he also confessed that he wanted to marry her but unfortunately, things fell apart and the relationship ended.

Speaking about the reason for separation, Usher said that Chilli made some weird set of rules that he had to follow to keep the relationship and Usher wasn’t buying that, he also proposed to her for marriage but she rejected the proposal.
The Grammy winner also said that he was heartbroken and went through a lot of pain, he even lost faith in women and relationships for a long time.
Nevertheless, both the singers eventually moved on in their lives after a few years, Usher started dating hairstylist Tameka Foster and later got married to her, the couple got divorced within two years of their marriage but they share two sons.
Most recently Usher got married to his girlfriend Jenn Goicoechea earlier this year in February and the couple already share two kids.
