Hollywood heart-throb Liam Hemsworth looks set to build out a new $14.6m mega home near Byron Bay, with the Hunger Games star formally submitting his epic architectural dreams to the local council planning department for approval.
Liam Hemsworth is set to join big brother Chris as the proud owner of a $20m+ mansion in Byron.
According to reports, Liam has submitted plans for a sprawling estate in the Byron Bay Hinterland.

It’s not expected to be as gargantuan as Chris’ nearby Broken Head pad, which has drawn numerous comparisons to a shopping center but it’s not short on ambition either.
Chris and his wife Elsa Pataky purchased their considerable slice of Byron in 2014 and construction began on Fortress Hemsworth in 2017.

Liam bought his part of Northern NSW paradise in 2021 for $6.8m and his building expenses are now expected to be around $14.5m.
His plans, by Melbourne architect firm SSdH, include a pavilion-style dual-level home, that seeks to blend itself into the countryside, unlike his brother’s palace.
It will feature two open-plan living areas, five bedrooms all with ensuites, a rumpus room that sits around an internal courtyard, a huge cabana, terrace, gym, sauna, and 18m pool.
The Hemsworth brothers have become embraced as locals in Byron and have hosted high-profile mates including Matt Damon.
According to PropTrack, the median house price in Byron Bay is $2.21m. That’s down 25.1 percent over the past 12 months.
Eldest brother Luke also owns a multimillion-dollar beachfront home at Suffolk Park.
Liam first shot to fame on Aussie TV soap Neighbors before kicking things up a gear with a starring role in the massively popular Hunger Games films.
In 2024 he starred in the action thriller Land of Bad alongside Aussie acting icon Russell Crowe.
