Jake Paul VS Mike Tyson: Live Boxing Match This Summer!

Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson has just been announced, and the news has shocked the whole social media, boxing community, and MMA community.

From X (formerly Twitter) to Instagram, there is a flood of posts regarding the fight which seems absolutely unwanted at this point. The boxing fight is scheduled to take place on July 20th, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Mike Tyson, for those who don’t know, is a legendary heavyweight boxer with a record of 50–6–0–2 with 44 KOs.

Iron Mike is considered as the best heavyweight boxer of all time, but unfortunately he is now 57 years old, and retired years ago.

Mike’s last professional fight was in 2005, after which he announced his retirement; he then made a return to the ring in 2020 and fought fellow retired professional boxer Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout.

On the other hand, Jake Paul who is just 27, has a record of 9–1 with 6 KOs, but Jake is not a professional boxer and has only fought MMA fighters and media personalities in his boxing career.

Jake started his professional boxing career in 2020 with a fight against retired basketball player Nate Robinson, which he won via KO.

Reportedly, the live bout will be streamed on Netflix. After the fight announcement, Jake has been receiving tons of backlash for choosing to fight 57-year-old Mike Tyson. UFC President Dana White in a recent interview expressed his concern over the age difference between the two which is more than 30 years.

MMA megastar Conor McGregor also expressed his lack of interest in the fight but he still picked Mike to win the fight. Although Mike is still in good shape, his age is a big matter of concern going into the fight, and fighting a guy 31 years younger isn’t the very best idea.

Fans have been roasting Jake Paul for cherry-picking fights with old and retired professionals, besides Tommy Fury, none of Jake’s opponents are less than 30 years of age.

There’s still time left in the fight and it will be interesting to see if it will eventually take place or not.
