In chapter 156 of Chainsaw Man, the story begins with Denji waking up in his hospital bed. He notices a helicopter and smoke outside his window.
Denji calls out for Nayuta but instead finds Hirofumi Yoshida in the room with him. Denji is concerned about Nayuta’s whereabouts, but Yoshida informs him that he’s been unconscious for a week.
