A really sad news circulated in Hollywood this week as it was reported that actor Buddy Duress has already passed away. What made the news even more saddening was that the 38-year-old died back in November last year, and surprisingly nobody even knew about it except a few close people.
His death was reported last week by director Jay Karales, and he also acknowledged that Duress was part of his upcoming movie Mass State Lottery which is scheduled to be released in December this year.
People’s magazine has reported that Buddy’s death was due to cardiac arrest as per his elder brother Christopher Stathis. It has also been reported that Duress suffered cardiac arrest post having a drug cocktail.

The young actor Buddy Duress was born in New York and started his acting career back in 2014 with the Safdie Brothers’ movie titled Heaven Knows What. He was also seen in the Safdie Brothers’ directorial crime drama film Good Times alongside Robert Pattinson in 2017.
His other works include The Great Darkened Days, Funny Pages, Beware of Dogs, and Person to Person. He was an amazing actor with a naturally gifted charm and persona, and many believe that he had the potential to become a huge star in the Hollywood industry and was just getting started, but unfortunately, his personal life and habits were quite troublesome and it eventually led to his demise.
Duress was jailed several times for offenses like theft of property, menacing in public places, unlawful possession of brass knuckles, having illegal drugs, and threatening his mother. Matter of fact, his relationship with his mother was quite bad, so much so that she had to seek protection from him.
Several people took to X (formerly Twitter) and expressed their condolences, some knew him as a great entertainer while for some, he was a great friend. It’s a great loss to Bollywood as the big star is gone forever.
