Mo Wan II is making his directorial debut with the thriller series The Frog as it slowly makes its way to Netflix this year. His earlier work includes ‘Work of the Married’ which turned out to be a massive hit as a cable K-Drama.
The thriller series boasts of impressive production companies including Studio Flow and Studio LuluLaLa.
What Is the Plot of the Frog?
The thriller series revolves around the story of two men – Sang Joon and Yeoung Ha – the former runs a motel in the rural areas during the summer of 2000 whilst Yeoung Ha runs a pension as he rides solo in the forest during the summer of 2001.
Both men make very different decisions when faced with similar situations but Yeoung Ha’s life takes a rather interesting turn when a mysterious guest arrives on the scene.

Who Is in the Cast of the Series?
The Frog has a rather interesting cast – and you might even recognize some of the cast members for their earlier work.
Kim Yoon Seok will take on the lead role of Yeong Ha and it will be his official debut despite acting in Korean movies (Another Child 1987, The Chaser). Lee Jung Eu will be portraying the lead role of Yoon Bo Min whilst Go Min So will play the lead role of Yoon Seong Ha.

What Is the Production Status of the Series?
Although filming had already started in early 2023 during April-May, it continued till mid-September. The series has been in post-production status since then, but things have ultimately moved ahead with the series getting the green light to premiere on OTT.
The Frog will be arriving on Netflix with eight episodes but we don’t have the official word on the run-time and duration of each episode. Guess we will just have to wait and see!
