The story of this comedy series centers on the protagonist of the story Mavis Beaumont (Buteau). Black, plus size, and newly single (not by her choice!).
During the story Mavis unexpectedly finds herself having to rebuild her life as a struggling stylist. She’s determined to not only survive but thrive with the support of her chosen family, a body-positive attitude, and a cute v-neck with some lip gloss.

First of all, let us tell you that the first season dropped in July of the Year 2023. And now the makers have officially renewed it for Season 2. Michelle Buteau announced the news of the renewal during an appearance that was recently made.
