Super Bowl Sunday offered an exciting first look at the storm-chasing chaos that will be coming this summer, as Warner Bros. premiered the first teaser for Twisters, the follow-up to 1996’s smash movie Twister.

Twisters Trailer: Glen Powell & Daisy Edgar-Jones Headline Stormy Adventure, Teased at Super Bowl 2024
The Twisters trailer depicts a dynamic that’s not too dissimilar to the 1997 original: we have a team of scientists striving to make an impact.
Then we’ve got their rival. But contrary to Cary Elwes’ Jonas Miller, who is in it for the money, Glen Powell gives it his all as he hunts down ‘the finger of god’ for the pure joy of it. The film is a lot of fun, and just the type of summer popcorn movie viewers want.
The film follows Kate Cooper & Tyler Owens as they search storm season and tornadoes, also known as ‘twisters,’ for distinct reasons, but finally unite in purpose when faced with such a powerful force of nature.
While former storm chaser Kate Cooper likes to study storm patterns on screens in New York City following a devastating tornado encounter in the past, Tyler Owens is a reckless, attractive social media influencer who enjoys chasing storms with his loud crew and posting them online, the deadlier, the better.
When Kate’s friend Javi convinces her to return to the vast plains to test a revolutionary new storm-tracking device, she crosses paths with the egotistical Tyler and sparks flare. However, for those sparks to ignite, they must first avoid being drenched by a tornado. And the latest Twisters have two of them, twin tornadoes.
Tyler and Kate may be in for a fight as the storm season develops and numerous storm systems collide over Central Oklahoma.
The trailer depicts terrifying scenes, a harsh struggle for survival, trying to escape the storm and so much destruction to life and assets. Though the graphics are mostly okay, the fascinating story idea promises a fun time.

The Cast and Crew of Twisters.
Twisters’ cast includes some outstanding actors who will undoubtedly raise the franchise’s level, with Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones, & Anthony Ramos playing the critical roles in the highly anticipated movie.
Powell will play Tyler Owens, while Edgar-Jones will portray Kate Cooper. Ramos will appear as Javi, Kate’s friend.
Sasha Lane (American Honey) plays Lily, Tyler’s storm-chasing sidekick. Brandon Perea (Nope), Harry Hadden-Paton (The Crown), Tunde Adebimpe (Rachel Getting Married), Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Nik Dodani (Atypical), David Corenswet (Superman: Legacy), Daryl McCormack (Peaky Blinders), Maura Tierney (NewsRadio), & Katy O’Brian (The Mandalorian) are also cast members for the sequel.
The eagerly awaited Twisters film will be released on July 19, 2024.
