Danielle Deadwyler Untangles Parallel Universes in Parallel Trailer.

The Parallel trailer highlights the stunning rural landscape that hides some life-threatening truths. Deadwyler stars in the trailer as a sorrowful mother who learns about the possibility of parallel universes and finds a means of bringing back her son.

Vanessa and Alex go to their Lakeland to grieve their son’s untimely death. They’re accompanied by Alex’s brother Martel (Edwin Hodge). Still, practically nothing can prepare them for when Alex gets attacked by an alternate version of herself because different versions of a person cannot live in a single place in the universe.

The gloomy trailer does a great job of establishing the tone and highlighting Alex’s compellingly awful dilemma.

While this is pitched as a sci-fi thriller, there are enough horror elements, disturbing visuals, and concepts to pique any genre enthusiast’s curiosity. Especially given the gloomy themes at play and some emotionally powerful direction.

Parallel appears to take a much more solid approach, with the hook being the death of a loved one. It raises disturbing issues, like whether you would go to the brink of the Earth to bring someone back if you knew the multiverse existed.

However, survival is also the title of the game in Parallel, as Alex appears to be looking for an Earth where her son is still alive, but she is being plagued by herself. At the same time, it seems that she will be directed by other versions of her loved ones, such as her husband.

When you combine the universe with the gloomy possibilities of life, you have a theory powerful enough to make anybody snap.
