The New Look Trailer: Christian Dior Makes A Deep Fashion Impression!

Apple TV+ recently released a trailer for The New Look. The New Look is based on actual events and is set in Paris during the Nazi invasion of 1940. This Apple TV+ historical drama depicts how fashion designer Christian Dior surpassed the great dame of fashion, Coco Chanel.

It focuses on the crucial time when Paris brought life back into the world with its groundbreaking designers and how Dior, the new child on the block, rose to prominence while fending off every rival.

The New Look Trailer: Christian Dior Makes A Deep Fashion Impression In New AppleTV+ Show.

As the war unfolds in the trailer, we overhear a voiceover from Close’s Carmel Snow, who explains fashion’s role in upholding the spirit of the French people. Snow is looking for a future great designer “to rise amid the ashes of the war,” and she is about to find them.

Dior, with an eye for cutting-edge fashion, aims to be the one who takes the art form to the next level. While some appreciate his efforts, others reject him, believing the emerging designer to be the most catastrophic thing to happen to couture.

His strongest contender is Chanel, who wants to save fashion from destruction single-handedly. As the two artists clash, a new vision sets fashion into the future.

Apart from the power struggle of Chanel & Dior, The New Look will look at WWII and how people closest to the famous designers fought against the Nazi dictatorship.

Catherine Dior, played by Williams, is Christian Dior’s sister and an unwavering activist who is fighting the Nazis for as long as she can. Though she appears briefly in the trailer, her astounding true story will likely take center stage in the series.

It’s incredible to imagine that during the dark days of World War II while dealing with the horrific things around them, designers Christian Dior & Coco Chanel created a unique way of wearing that revolutionized fashion forever.

It was like offering light and optimism into a world full of darkness. The drama will be enjoyable and give us an entirely new take on that era.
