In Chainsaw Man chapter 151, things got intense from the start. Fumiko Mifune was taken hostage by the Spear Hybrid and Miri Sugo, who’s the Sword Hybrid.

This happened after the Whip Hybrid attacked Mifune and the rest. Sugo tried to explain to Denji that they were all working to prevent a prophecy by someone named Nostradamus.

But the Whip Hybrid made fun of Sugo for believing in that idea. Then, something unexpected happened – Barem Bridge, a character, started moving on its own.

Nayuta, another character, tried to control Barem with her chains, but Barem fought back. He moved toward Nayuta and grabbed her neck. He questioned whether his feelings for Makima or her control over him made him resist Nayuta.

Barem blamed Denji for ruining the chance for peace and for enjoying a normal life given by Public Safety. Nayuta managed to free herself by making someone nearby attack Barem.
