Recap Of Chapter 24 Of Kagurabachi

In Chapter 24, called “Hunters,” Shiba realizes that the Tou, Sazanami’s elite guards, are much stronger than the sorcerers he encountered before.

Meanwhile, Kyora Sazanami believes he stands a better chance of stealing Chihiro’s blade with the Tou’s help rather than going alone.

Shiba suggests to Chihiro that they should retreat after assessing the situation, but Chihiro disagrees. Instead, he wraps himself in Nishiki and prepares to confront his opponents. The chapter then flashes back to Shiba disclosing Kamunabi’s auction plan to Chihiro, leaked by Azami.

Chihiro recalls his father’s warning never to use the Shinuchi blade. With the Kamunabi likely to win the auction due to their vast resources, stealing the Shinuchi blade before them is Chihiro’s only option.

Meanwhile, Soya Sazanami is happy to see his younger brother Hakuri but is rejected when he asks him to return to the family.

Soya’s love for Hakuri is marred by his abusive behavior, even possibly killing someone he saw as a threat to his brother. Hinao arrives, and Soya assumes she has influenced Hakuri and decides to kill her, but Shiba intervenes and takes Soya away using his teleportation skill.

Hinao shares a plan with Hakuri where she calls Shiba, who will teleport to her if she cuts the line after one ring.

Meanwhile, Chihiro faces the Tou alone with Shiba’s assurance of his safety. The chapter ends with Kyora Sazanami wondering about the outcome of the battle.
