The latest trailer for Captains of the World, an upcoming Netflix series, will take a closer look at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Netflix’s cameras gave an all-access key to the tournament’s teams, featuring close footage of Moroccan captain Romain Saiss and others.

Captains of the World trailer: Netflix documentary reveals exclusive footage from the FIFA World Cup in 2022.

The six-episode series will take viewers behind the scenes of the worldwide soccer tournament held in Qatar last November and December. The series will follow Captains, which previously followed individual players’ experiences through the event’s qualifying rounds.

The trailer includes exclusive interviews and footage from the 2022 World Cup, as well as insights from important figures including Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, Harry Kane,  Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, & Simon Kjaer.

The players discuss the issues they faced during the event, highlighting the intensity of the competition. This documentary gives viewers a front-row seat to the tournament’s most remarkable stories, ranging from Morocco’s thrilling journey to Argentina’s historic victory.

Expect honest and fascinating narratives from some of football’s biggest names in this upcoming docuseries.

The 2022 World Cup final, held on December 18, featured Lionel Messi’s Argentina defeating Kylian Mbappé’s French squad. Messi, a Major League Soccer club Inter Miami member, was named the Golden Ball winner as the best overall player.

The show’s official description is: “From the locker rooms to the pitch, this docuseries provides exclusive access to all 32 teams while they fight for football supremacy in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.”
