Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire now has a full trailer, which includes the Titans’ return. Godzilla and Kong will face off against a new enemy hidden deep within the Earth in this direct sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong, the fifth film in the Monsterverse.

The ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ Trailer Teases an Epic MonsterVerse Team Up.
The latest trailer for the film teases the return of the mighty Titans, Godzilla, and Kong, as well as a new menace hiding under the Earth’s surface.
The trailer takes viewers to a realm where humans must tackle the mystery of underground dangers. Kong grabs the front stage, fighting a lethal enemy—an enigmatic little Kong. The Titans must manage the complex task of protecting their realms as they face these underground enemies.
The trailer teases a climax scene in which Kong and Godzilla charge toward an unseen entity, maybe an elder ape with links to Baby Kong. Kong, in particular, has a remarkable enhancement—a robotic arm with armor-like features.
Godzilla has an intriguing modification, with a red-lit power flowing over his spikes before launching a powerful breath strike. These improvements indicate that the Titans are working together to tackle the developing underworld threat.
Godzilla X Kong promises to go further into the origins of numerous Monsterverse characters. With Kong dealing with the discovery of a baby ape monster, his history with Skull Island will undoubtedly come into play.
Godzilla will also have the opportunity to investigate his past. However, the trailer concentrates on King Kong rather than the King of the Monsters.

The Cast and Crew of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
Several Godzilla vs. Kong cast members will return for Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire. Rebecca Hall as monster specialist Dr. Ilene Andrews, Brian Tyree Henry as conspiracy theorist Bernie Hayes, & Kaylee Hottle as Kong’s young human friend Jia appear, among others.
Dan Stevens, who starred in Downton Abbey, will join the cast in an unspecified starring role. Rachel House (Thor: Ragnarok), Alex Ferns (The Batman), and Mercy Cornwall (Dive Club) round out the cast.
There’s no news on whether Godzilla vs. Kong stars Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Julian Dennison, and Kyle Chandler will return, but it’s reasonable to presume they won’t.
Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire will be released on April 12, 2024, returning the MonsterVerse’s massive creatures to the big screen.
The movie was supposed to be released on Friday, March 15, 2024. However, it has since been postponed, possibly owing to the WGA/SAG-AFTRA strikes.
