Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes Teaser Trailer Released!

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will start up many years after War for the Planet of the Apes, which premiered in 2017. The brilliant simian descendants of Caesar continue to negotiate the obstacles of becoming the dominant race on planet Earth in the next Planet of the Apes film.

Meanwhile, humans have devolved into wild, animalistic beings, similar to those shown in the 1968 original starring Charlton Heston, which launched the original The Planet of the Apes franchise.

The apes are in power in the trailer of ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.’

The latest clip for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes teases what the series will be like when Caesar is gone. Cornelius, the son of the former ape king, will go on a new quest throughout post-apocalyptic Earth in the upcoming sequel.

In the trailer, Cornelius discusses strange visions he’s been experiencing involving apes hunting down humans while on horseback. As an ape wearing a crown addresses a crowd, the teaser suggests Caeser’s son will embark on an adventure with a human.

The upcoming movie in the reboot trilogy continues examining the battle between apes and humans as the former has become the dominant species on Earth.

The previous film, War for the Planet of the Apes, established that the Simian Flu Pandemic had caused humans to become increasingly animalistic. This shift in the ape-human interaction will be explored further in the next sequel.

The development of a dictatorial ape highlights the possibility of a clash between Cornelius and this new king.

Given his father’s leadership in previous chapters, the young ape has plenty to live up to in this film, which may reveal his ascent to dominance. This opens the door for a future cinematic remake of the original Planet of the Apes, bringing the series full circle.
