Ferrari Trailer Shows That the Film Is “Not a Racing Movie”.

Published by

Adam Driver stars in a fast-paced biopic centered around racing car maverick Ferrari.

Michael Mann is making a huge comeback with Ferrari, a biopic about automobile entrepreneur Enzo Ferrari. The film is unquestionably one of the most anticipated films of the year.

The trailer begins with a monologue in which Driver’s Ferrari discusses the physics of racing, stating that “two objects cannot occupy the same moment in space simultaneously.”

The trailer then sets Ferrari’s central conflict: Enzo Ferrari has to win the Mille Miglia to save his company from bankruptcy. The trailer then cuts between Ferrari’s racing career and home life, depicting tense scenes between Enzo & his wife (Cruz).

The Ferrari trailer is filled with bits from dramatic scenes. The trailer teases the bankruptcy background at the core of Ferrari, reminding fans that this biopic chronicles the journey of when the now-successful businessman was on the verge of failing.

In the story, Enzo is a former Formula 1 driver whose glory days are over as he faces bankruptcy in his factory after ten years in the company.

Ferrari’s marriage with Laura suffers, as these things often do, particularly after the pair loses their kid. Faced with catastrophe, Enzo resolves to go all in for the world-famous Italian 1,000-mile race, knowing that if he wins, he can turn the game in his favor.

This is perhaps why Ferrari won’t sugarcoat the string of mishaps that Enzo and his team had to endure before coming up with a car capable of competing in the European 1,000-mile race. We see some harrowing scenes in the trailer that imply Enzo must cope with devastation before winning.

Ferrari has a better opportunity than many others to provide a less glamorous image of racing car driving. Cars are not merely a romanticized aspect of Enzo Ferrari’s life in this film; they are his sole chance, despite the physical danger they put him in. If Ferrari meets the trailer’s expectations, the biopic might be one of the year’s greatest.
