The Cast and Characters In Season 3?

Season 3 sees the return of Harald (Leo Suter), Leif (Sam Corlett), and Freydis (Frida Gustavsson). Queen Emma (Laura Berlin), King Canute (Bradley Freegard), Queen Aelfgifu (Pollyanna McIntosh), Godwin (David Oakes),  and Elena (Sofya Lebedeva) are all expected to appear in the main cast.

The second season saw the death of Harald’s half-brother Olaf at the hands of Freydis. Although Vikings have always been interested in the supernatural, it would be surprising to see a pagan hunter.

Actor Goran Visnjic, known for his role in The Boys, has been cast as Erik the Red, the famous Viking and father of Freydis and Leif, who has been confirmed as the season’s first arrival. Maniakes, a “fearless Byzantine general who belongs only to the Emir,” will be played by Florian Munteanu (Shang-Chi).

What Can We Expect From Vikings: Valhalla Season 3?

Season 2 ended with the three heroes, Freydis, Leif, & Harold, on separate travels. Fans are waiting to see if Freydis & Harald, her son’s father, can reunite.

Freydis kept her pregnancy from Harald at the beginning of Season 2, which he may have taken as a betrayal. Fans will have to wait to see if the two reconcile or if someone stole Harald’s heart.

Meanwhile, a heartbroken Leif must travel to his late lover Mariam’s home to find several items that would aid him in his adventures as a famous explorer.

The trailer shows that Leif and Harold will be reunited, but the dangerous journey will leave fans guessing where and when this reunion will occur.

Season 3 will likely see the Vikings go to Scandinavia and travel across the sea to unknown places. In the trailer, we can see an ocean-side castle encircled by lofty stone walls, flags of red and purple floating in the breeze, and hands moving around a map.

While it is uncertain what new place the explorers will uncover in the following season, history suggests they will visit Newfoundland.

While the quest for new land continues, the battle for Norway will continue, as will the action-packed bloodbath. However, battles over land aren’t the only ones that will continue raging, as the Vikings will fight with one another over their polarised Pagan and Christian beliefs.
