This Swedish horror-comedy The Conference is just what you need to spruce up this Halloween season!
The slasher-horror genre is gaining momentum thanks to cult favorites like the Scream trilogy – and this Swedish slasher comes with an interesting twist. We’ve got everything about this slasher-comedy movie coming to Netflix this October!
For starters, this movie is based on the novels by Mats Strandberg whilst it is directed by Patrik Eklund.
Both he and Thomas Moldestad were the co-writers of the screenplay and SF Studios is the mastermind production company behind the film’s aesthetics.
What Is The Conference About?
True to the name, the movie is about a team-building conference that applies to municipal employees but this quickly turns into a nightmare when accusations of corruption start plaguing the work environment.
If this is not enough, a mysterious dark figure is on the prowl for murders – and it seems to take a liking for the participants as this creature mainly targets them only.

Who are the cast members of the movie?
In terms of the cast members – Katia Winter, Eva Melander, and Adam Lundgren take on the role of leading protagonists in ‘The Conference’.
Katia Winter will be familiar to some viewers although she is yet to star in a Netflix original. Viewers will relate her with Little Nina in Prime’s ‘The Boys’, Nadia in ‘Dexter’ and ‘The Year I Started Masturbating’. Her portrayal is for the role of Lina in The Conference.
Eva Melander hasn’t appeared in a Netflix series before – but she is most well-known for starring in movies like Border, Flocken, Inland, etc. Her portrayal in this movie is in the role of Eva.
Adam Lundgren’s debut with this movie will certainly mark a memorable role of Jonas. His most well-known works include his role as Mattias Cedergren in the Swedish series Blue Eyes.
Given this information, we can expect the movie to hit screens in October whilst the movie’s run-time would be approximately 100 minutes.
