When Is XO, Kitty Season 2 Coming on Netflix?

Netflix renewed XO Kitty for another season less than a month after it debuted! According to Netflix, the series premiered at number two in their weekly Top 10 rankings, with an astonishing 72.1 million hours viewed.

Before the news, Jenny Han, the author of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, and the XO, Kitty cast all expressed their desire to film a second season in interviews.

What Could Be the Release Date of Season 2?

XO, Kitty Season 2 has no release date as of this writing. However, it will likely be released in 2025.

The continuous strikes by Writers Guild of America and SAG AFTRA members, which are unlikely to be settled by the end of 2023 or even the start of 2024, are responsible for the anticipated release date of 2025.

As a result, if production resumes in 2024, the second season will take at least a year to complete before being released on Netflix. Thus, the 2025 release date seems more realistic.

Who Is Returning for Season 2?

We expect all of the main cast to return. In other words, Anne Cathcart will play Katherine “Kitty” Song Covey, Choi Min-Yeong will play Dae-heon Kim, Anthony Keyvan will play Quincy Q. Shabazian, Gia Kim will play Yuri Han, Sang Heon-Lee will play Min Ho, Regan Aliyah will play Juliana, Peter Thurnwald will play Alex, Jocelyn Shelfo will play Madison, and Yunjin Kim will play Jina.

What Can We Expect From Season 2?

Season 1 of XO, Kitty concluded with several cliffhangers that will undoubtedly be tackled in a second season. First and foremost, Kitty admits to Dae that she has feelings for someone else.

He’s sure it’s Min Ho, but Kitty reveals she loves Yuri. The couple split up, although it’s unclear whether it is the end of their story.

Kitty is expected to explore her sexuality in season 2 before ending up in a love triangle with Yuri and Juliana.

As if that wasn’t enough, Min Ho sits next to Kitty on her way home and confesses his feelings for her. Kitty discovers that her mother’s first love was Simon, so the writers will have enough to work with in season 2.
