Nicki Minaj Hosts MTV VMAs 2023 In Pink Dress!

American rapper and singer Nicki Minaj makes her way to the Prudential Centre in Newark, New Jersey, for the MTV Video Music Awards.

Rapper Nicki Minaj returned to host and perform at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards after co-hosting the 2022 ceremony with LL Cool J and Jack Harlow.

This year, the red carpet was painted pink in homage to the rapper and her Barbie-inspired preferred hue since the New York rap superstar handled hosting responsibilities alone.

Nicki also performed solo, even though her hosting duties this year were limited since so many other presenters and artists were competing for television time. She provided the fans a listen to her new tune, “Last Time I Saw You,” while wearing a cascading puffy black shawl.

Then Nicki gave a brief performance of a song off her new album, Pink Friday 2, which is scheduled to be released in November. In the unreleased song, Nicki declares her supremacy in the rap industry.

Minaj disclosed that MTV has been getting calls from people worried about what she would say on the show.

She responded by assuring them that she could maintain control while humorously mentioning that her alter ego, Roman, might not be acting in the best interests of society. Minaj set the tone for a thrilling evening with her self-assured and pleasant demeanor.

Minaj, renowned for her mind-blowing dress choices, is no stranger to making a statement at the VMAs.

She made a statement in a Laborjoisie gown that cost $15,000 in 2015, and in 2022, she collected the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award while wearing a chic Dolce & Gabbana ensemble.

This year, her several costume changes during the evening were eagerly anticipated by fans. In addition to her emceeing duties, Minaj surprised her fans by singing a song from her upcoming album, Pink Friday 2.

At the beginning of the evening, Minaj donned a transparent pink gown by Dolce & Gabbana with bridal-inspired details. She adhered to the obvious nude-illusion concept adopted by other celebs on the pink carpet by donning a black rhinestone dress over a black bra and panty.

The rapper’s pink wedding gown by Dolce & Gabbana felt especially suited for this year’s pink carpet, replete with a transparent lace skirt with a mermaid pattern and a satin bustier.

Minaj subsequently changed into a form-fitting red bodysuit for her performance of her hit song. The radiant bride’s outfit was finished with a similar veil with lace trim and diamond jewels.
