Sex Education Season 4 Poster Is Out Now!!!

The 4th and final Season of the BAFTA and International Emmy winner popular British teen s*x comedy-drama TV series ‘Sex Education’ is just around the corner.

After much anticipation on the part of the fans and leaving the viewers with cliffhangers like Maeve and Otis confessing their love for each other, Maeve going to study in U.S., and the information that the father of Jean’s(Otis’ mother) newborn baby is not Jacob, and most importantly the school being sold to developers, the arrival of the fourth season which will end the series will contain much that will hold the future of the entire series at stake.

The 4th Season of the series was renewed on September 25, 2021. It will be released on September 21, 2023 on Netflix. On 5th July this year, it was announced that Season 4 is going to be the final one.

Asa Butterfield-

English actor Asa Butterfield was cast in one of the main roles of the series- the socially awkward teenager Otis Milburn who served as a sex advisor to his peers in the Moordale Secondary School.

Butterfield will reprise this role in the upcoming season. He achieved prominent recognition as a child actor for his role as lead character Bruno in the historical drama film ‘The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas’ in 2008.

His other film credits include ‘Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang’, ‘Hugo’, ‘Ender’s Game’, ‘X+Y’, ‘Ten Thousand Saints’, ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’, ‘The House of Tomorrow‘, ‘Journey’s End’, ‘The Space Between Us’, ‘Then Came You’, ‘Time Freak’, ‘Slaughterhouse Rulez’, ‘Greed’, ‘Choose or Die‘, ‘Flux Gourmet’, ‘Your Christmas or Mine?’.

Butterfield is also set to star in two upcoming films that include a sequel of the latter and the horror film ‘All Fun and Games’.

Emma Mackey-

As the troubled but intelligent teen student of Moordale – Maeve Wiley who persuaded Otis to start and manage the s*x clinic, British and French actress Emma Mackey has been cast and will reprise this role in the upcoming season.

For this role, Mackey was nominated for the British Academy Television Award for Best Female Comedy Performance. Mackey played Adrienne Bourgès in the 2021 French romantic drama film ‘Eiffel’.

Next, she starred as Jackie in the mystery film ‘Death on the Nile‘ and the eponymous Victorian novelist in ‘Emily’. In Margot Robbie‘s starrer ‘Barbie‘ she played Physicist Barbie.

In 2020 Mackey was cast as Holly in the Irish mystery drama TV film ‘The Winter Lake’. Mackey won the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2023.

Gillian Anderson-

American-British actress Gillian Anderson will reprise her role as Otis’ famous s*x therapist mother Jean Milburn in Sex Education Season 4.

Her other important television credits include ‘The X-Files, ‘Bleak House’, ‘Any Human Heart’, ‘Great Expectations’, ‘The Fall’, ‘Hannibal‘, ‘Crisis’, ‘War & Peace’, Season 4 of ‘The Crown‘, and ‘The First Lady’.

Ncuti Gatwa-

As Otis’ openly gay best friend Eric Effiong, we find in the series Rwandan-Scottish actor Ncuti Gatwa who will reprise this role in the upcoming season.

For this role, he was nominated for three BAFTA Television Awards for Best Male Comedy Performance. He has been cast as the Fifteenth Doctor in Season 14 of the British sci-fi TV series ‘Doctor Who‘.

Aimee Lou Wood-

As Maeve’s friend Aimee Gibbs, we find English actress Aimee Lou Wood in the series for which role she was nominated for two British Academy Television Awards for Best Female Comedy Performance including one.

Lou Woon will be seen reprising this role in the upcoming season. She is set to star in two upcoming TV series ‘Alice & Jack’ and ‘Toxic Town’.

Connor Swindells-

As Adam Groff, son of Moordale’s former headmaster and the bully-turned-love interest of Eric, English actor model Connor Swindells starred in the previous three seasons and will reprise this role in the upcoming season.

Swindells played Lieutenant Simon Hadlow in the 2021 police procedural miniseries ‘Vigil’. He was cast as David Stirling in 2022 in the historical drama series ‘SAS: Rogue Heroes’.

Kedar Williams-Stirling-

The role of the head boy of Moordale- Jackson Marchetti will be reprised by English actor Kedar Williams-Stirling in the upcoming season. He previously starred in the first three seasons of ‘Wolfblood‘ as Tom Okanawe from 2012 to 2014.

As the former headmaster of Moordale and the strict father of Adam- Michael Groff, we find British actor Alistair Petrie reprising his role in the upcoming season.

His previous television credits include ‘The Stretch’, ‘The Forsyte Saga’, ‘Utopia’, ‘The Night Manager, ‘Undercover’, ‘Year of the Rabbit, ‘The Terror’, ‘Deep State, ‘Why Didn’t They Ask Evans?’, ‘Funny Woman’.

Petrie has also been cast in the upcoming BBC One TV series ‘The Following Events Are Based On A Pack Of Lies’.

Dan Levy-

Canadian actor Dan Levy has joined Season 4 to play the role of a teacher named Mr. Molloy in the study program that Maeve attends in the U.S.

Along with them Mimi Keene will reprise the role of a popular and mean student Ruby Matthews who later falls in love with Otis, Chaneil Kular will reprise the role of Anwar Bakshi and Mikael Persbrandt will reprise the role of the plumber who develops a relationship with Jean- Jakob Nyman.
