David Zabel has created the upcoming American post-apocalyptic TV series ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ which is based on the eponymous character of ‘The Walking Dead’.

The series marks the fifth spin-off of the original series and the sixth TV series of the entire franchise. The plot finds Daryl being washed ashore in France struggling to understand how and why he got there. As he tries to find his way back home, he forms connections that complicate his ultimate plan.

American actor Norman Reedus has been cast to reprise the role of Daryl in the series. It is scheduled to premiere on September 10, 2023.

The series ran from October 31, 2010, to November 20, 2022, on AMC.

This zombie apocalypse coming-of-age horror TV series is adapted from the same named Naver webtoon.

The plot is centered upon a zombie apocalypse that broke out inside a high school in the fictional South Korean city of Hyosan as the students are trapped inside with limited resources. The series premiered on January 28, 2022, on Netflix.

Z Nation – Number of Seasons: 5

This post-apocalyptic action horror comedy-drama TV series is also centered upon a zombie apocalypse.

The plot is set three years after the vast majority of the population of America has been decimated by a virus breakout that has turned people into flesh-eating zombies leading to a group of brave people determined to transport a survivor to the last working virology lab. The series ran from September 10, 2014, to December 28, 2018, on Syfy.

The Stand – Number of Seasons: 1

This horror fantasy post-apocalyptic disaster miniseries is adapted from Stephen King’s same-named 1978 novel. The series also serves as a remake of the 1994 adaptation.

The plot follows the few survivors of a pandemic caused by a mishap at a biological research station allowing a lethal strain of influenza to escape.

The series ran from December 17, 2020, to February 11, 2021, on Paramount+ and Starz.

It premiered on December 18, 2020, on Netflix. Last year in June the series was renewed for two more seasons. Season 2 is set to be released in 2023 with the third season under production.

The plot follows a survivor of a global zombie apocalypse named Jade Wesker who finds himself fighting for survival amidst infected creatures while being haunted by her past.

English actress Ella Balinska played the role of Jade Wesker in the series. It premiered on July 14, 2022 on Netflix.

The Last of Us – Number of Seasons: 1

This Emmy-nominated post-apocalyptic thriller drama TV series has gained a lot of acclaim from both fans and critics.

The series is based on a Naughty Dog-developed video game of 2013 and stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as the lead characters Joel, a smuggler, and Ellie respectively as the former is tasked with escorting the latter, an immune teenager, across a post-apocalyptic US. The series premiered on January 15, 2023, on HBO.

Steven Kane and Hank Steinberg created this post-apocalyptic action drama TV series that is loosely based on the same 1988 novel by William Brinkley. The plot follows the surviving crew of a U.S. Navy finding the cure for a global viral pandemic that has wiped out more than 80% of the world’s population.

The series ran from June 22, 2014, to November 11, 2018 on TNT.
