Netflix’s popular fantasy drama tv series ‘The Witcher’ is adapted from the same-named book series by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski and is returning for the second part of the third season.

The plot is set on the Continent, a medieval-inspired fictional landmass, and follows the legend of primarily Geralt of Rivia as well as Yennefer of Vengerberg and Princess Ciri.

When Is The Witcher Season 3 Volume 2 Releasing?

‘The Witcher’ premiered on December 20, 2019, on Netflix. The third season of the series was renewed in September 2021. Its first part consisting of five episodes was released on June 29, 2023.

The Witcher Season 3 Volume 2 will consist of three episodes and is set to be released on the 27th of July this year.

The main character of the series, the magically enhanced monster hunter Geralt of Rivia or the titular “witcher” has been portrayed by Henry Cavill since the first season and will be reprised by him in the last part of season three too.

Notably, this is the last time we will see Cavill in the role of Geralt as Liam Hemsworth is set to be cast in the next season of ‘The Witcher’.

Cavill is also renowned for his portrayal of Superman in the DC Comics-based superhero films. Besides ‘The Witcher’, Cavill also played another main character Charles Brandon in the historical fiction tv series ‘The Tudors from 2007 to 2010.
