Netflix’s popular fantasy drama tv series ‘The Witcher’ is adapted from the same-named book series by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski and is returning for the second part of the third season.
The plot is set on the Continent, a medieval-inspired fictional landmass, and follows the legend of primarily Geralt of Rivia as well as Yennefer of Vengerberg and Princess Ciri.

When Is The Witcher Season 3 Volume 2 Releasing?
‘The Witcher’ premiered on December 20, 2019, on Netflix. The third season of the series was renewed in September 2021. Its first part consisting of five episodes was released on June 29, 2023.
The Witcher Season 3 Volume 2 will consist of three episodes and is set to be released on the 27th of July this year.

Henry Cavill-
The main character of the series, the magically enhanced monster hunter Geralt of Rivia or the titular “witcher” has been portrayed by Henry Cavill since the first season and will be reprised by him in the last part of season three too.
Notably, this is the last time we will see Cavill in the role of Geralt as Liam Hemsworth is set to be cast in the next season of ‘The Witcher’.
Cavill is also renowned for his portrayal of Superman in the DC Comics-based superhero films. Besides ‘The Witcher’, Cavill also played another main character Charles Brandon in the historical fiction tv series ‘The Tudors from 2007 to 2010.
Anya Chalotra-
The role of quarter-elf sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg will be reprised by British actress Anya Chalotra in the upcoming episodes of the third season. In 2018 she was cast in the main role of Jennifer Ashman in the British tv drama miniseries ‘Wanderlust’.
Freya Allan-
Cintra’s crown princess Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon or Ciri is portrayed by English actress Freya Allan in the series who will reprise this role in the upcoming episodes too. Allan played Kail in the psychological thriller folk horror drama ‘The Third Day’ in 2020.
Eamon Farren-
The role of Black Knight or Cahir Mawr Dyffryn as Cealla will be reprised by Australian actor Eamon Farren in the upcoming part.
In the 2018 BBC One mystery thriller tv serial ‘The ABC Murders‘ Farren was cast in the role of Alexander Bonaparte Cust. He also won AACTA Award for Best Guest or Supporting Actor in a Television Drama for starring as Danny / Ava in the Australian telemovie biopic ‘Carlotta’ in 2014.
Joey Batey-
Traveling bard Jaskier whom Geralt befriends is played by English actor and singer-songwriter musician Joey Batey in the series and will be reprised by him in the upcoming episodes.
MyAnna Buring-
The role of Yennefer’s mentor Tissaia de Vries will be reprised by Swedish actress MyAnna Buring. She previously starred as the young version of the main character Lily in the British tv drama series ‘White Heat’ in 2012.
The same year as Sylvie Mills she was cast in the three-part British tv drama series ‘Blackout’. From 2012 to 2016 Buring played “Long” Susan Hart / Caitlin Swift Judge in the British mystery drama tv series ‘Ripper Street’.
In 2015 Buring played Jules Hope in the second series of the crime thriller tv series ‘Prey’, Anne in the fourth series of the Norwegian comedy-drama series ‘Dag’, and Elizabeth Quinn in the British drama tv series ‘Banished’.
As DI Helen Weeks she was cast in the 2017 BBC One’s four-part British crime drama ‘In the Dark‘. The next year she played Elizabeth in the Norwegian tv series ‘One Night’ as well as in its English version.
In 2020 Buring starred in the role of Dawn Sturgess in the fact-based tv drama ‘The Salisbury Poisonings’ and in 2022 she starred as Kate Carson in the British police drama ‘The Responder’ and as Froken de la Gardie in the British supernatural tv film ‘Count Magnus’.
Anna Shaffer-
A sorceress named Triss Merigold is played by English actress Anna Shaffer. She was a regular cast member playing Ruby Button in the British soap opera ‘Hollyoaks‘ from 2011 to 2014 and from 2017 to 2018.
Royce Pierreson-
The role of sorcerer and historian Istredd will be reprised by British actor and narrator Royce Pierreson in the upcoming episodes.
He played a recurring character in the second season of the British military drama series ‘Our Girl’ as Dr. Jamie Cole and in the first season of the British miniseries ‘Wanderlust’ as Jason Hales. As John Watson, he was cast in the 2021 British mystery adventure crime drama series ‘The Irregulars.
Mahesh Jadu-
Charismatic sorcerer Vilgefortz of Roggeveen is played by Australian actor Mahesh Jadu in the series. Jadu previously starred in the series ‘Neighbours’, ‘I, Frankenstein’, and ‘Marco Polo’.
Graham McTavish-
Scottish actor Graham McTavish will be seen reprising his role of Sigismund Dijkstra from the second season and the first part of Season 3. His other television credits include ‘Outlander’, ‘Preacher’ etc.
Recently he was cast in the role of her Harrold Westerling in ‘Game of Thrones‘ prequel spin-off series ‘House of the Dragon’.

Prince Radovid is played by English actor Hugh Skinner in the series. His most notable television credits are ‘Tess of the d’Urbervilles, ‘W1A’, ‘The Windsors, ‘Fleabag’, ‘Harlots’, ‘And Little Birds’.
