Hijack Episodes 1 & 2 Ending Explained.

Tensions rise in the captivating drama series ‘Hijack’ as passengers struggle for survival onboard a hijacked airliner.

Many fans are confused by Idris Elba‘s Sam’s help to the hijackers in the first two episodes of Apple’s new drama series Hijack.

By the end of the first episode, Sam is shown to be a very experienced negotiator who specializes in concluding crucial business relationships as a third-party service.

Even with the understanding that the enigmatic Sam is most likely planning a psychological ruse, the issue remains of how he would persuade four violent hijackers that he is somehow on their side in their terrorist activities.

Hijack’s first and second episodes have yet to delve into the motives for the hijacking, adding to the tension and ambiguity of the seven-episode miniseries.

Hijack Episodes 1 & 2 Ending Explained: Is Sam helping The Hijackers?

Tell Tale TV

After the hijacking, Sam realizes that the only option to notify the authorities or the ground is through the flight’s pilot, Captain Robin Allen.

He plays a trick on Stuart by portraying him as a “problem,” only for the hijackers’ commander to remove the pilot from the cockpit and force him to sit in business class, a few seats from Sam.

The negotiator then utilizes a game’s chat feature to engage with the pilot about telling the ground of the issue onboard the flight. When the plane lands in Iraq, security officials want the pilot to affirm that everything went smoothly.

Sam ensures that Robin enters the cockpit to indicate their problem while lying to the Iraqi officials to persuade the hijackers that he would not revolt against them.

Following Sam’s instructions, Robin adjusts the direction of the flight by 3 degrees to signify that the plane is under attack. His strategy succeeds when an English airline official, Alice Sinclair, isn’t impressed by the claim that the flight was just a false alarm.

She asks for the position of the flight from Iraqi security personnel via her supervisor and sees the 3° variation in the plane’s heading.

Because the deviation occurs in a straight line, Alice cuts out the weather as a possible cause, leading her to believe that someone is attempting to give them a message via the deviation.

Sam’s plan to notify the ground about the life-threatening event is accomplished due to his clever use of the pilot by duping Stuart.

When the English authorities contacted the security officers in Dubai regarding Flight KA29, Abdullah, the officer who allowed the flight’s departure, began to investigate more.

He finds his friend and airport worker Neela leaving her job in an emergency while checking over the surveillance video of the people who boarded the airplane.

Abdullah then rushes to Neela’s apartment to inquire about the situation, only to be met by two guys cleaning the airport official’s residence.

One of the guys then leads Abdullah to the upstairs bathroom, where he discovers the bodies of Neela and her husband, Senil. The guy then murders Abdullah.

The murderer of Neela and Abdulla might be a member of the group that hijacks Flight KA29. He might have ensured that the hijackers could board the plane without being hindered.

It would not be surprising if Neela was a member of the organization and killed for her to keep silent about the entire crime. As the person in charge of inspecting the contents of passengers’ carry-on luggage, Neela is in a position to assist the hijackers, lending credence to the allegation.

Abdullah loses his life due to being in the wrong place at the wrong time when he comes upon Neela’s dead body.
