Gareth Edwards has directed the upcoming American science fiction action thriller movie ‘The Creator’.
The plot features a war between humankind and the force of artificial intelligence.
A former special forces agent named Joshua who is grieving the disappearance of his wife, gets tasked with hunting down the elusive architect behind the advanced AI. That architect who has developed the weapon of ending the war as well as the entire humankind, is known as the Creator.

The film was first planned as an untitled project in February 2020. John David Washington was announced as a cast member in May of 2021.
That year in June some of the other cast members joined with the rest of the cast joining in January and February of 2022. Filming ran from January 17, 2022, to May 30, 2022.

John David Washington-
In the role of the lead character Joshua- the former special forces agent who is tasked with killing the architect of advanced AI, we will find American actor and ex-professional football player John David Washington.
Among his previous film credits, there is the 2017 American musical drama movie ‘Love Beats Rhymes‘ in which he played the role of Mahlik. Washington portrayed Dennis Williams in the American drama movie ‘Monsters and Men‘ in 2018.
The same year he also played Ron Stallworth in the biographical black comedy crime movie ‘BlacKkKlansman’ and Lieutenant Kelley in the biographical crime film ‘The Old Man & the Gun’.
In 2020 Washington was cast to portray the Protagonist in the science fiction action thriller movie ‘Tenet‘.
In the 2021 black and white romantic drama film ‘Malcolm & Marie‘ he co-starred with Zendaya to play the titular Malcolm Elliott and also served as producer.
The same year he also played the lead character of Beckett in the action thriller movie ‘Beckett’. As Harold Woodsman he was cast in the 2022 period mystery comedy thriller movie ‘Amsterdam’.
Other than ‘The Creator’ Washington is also set to star in the upcoming movie ‘The Piano Lesson’ playing Boy Willie Charles.
Gemma Chan-
English actress Gemma Chan is another announced cast member of the upcoming movie. Her first notable movie role is as Candidate 2 in the psychological thriller movie ‘Exam’ in 2009.
The next year she played Bo in the British thriller movie ‘Pimp’, Shin Shin in the neo-noir political thriller movie ‘Shanghai’, and Kim-Lin in the coming-of-age comedy-drama movie ‘Submarine’.
Amy Chang, was cast in the 2014 American action thriller movie ‘Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit’. Next year she was cast in the role of Chen-Lin in the French comedy-drama movie ‘Families’.
Chan starred as Aggy in the British action thriller movie ‘Stratton’ in 2017. In the role of Astrid Leong-Teo, she was cast in the romantic comedy-drama movie ‘Crazy Rich Asians’.
