Gareth Edwards has directed the American science fiction action thriller movie The Creator that is adapted by Chris Weitz with Edwards from a story by Edwards. The plot features a future war between the forces of artificial intelligence and the human race.
Following the disappearance of his wife, a hardened former special forces agent Joshua is tasked with hunting down and killing the Creator who is the architect of advanced AI and who is the creator of a mysterious weapon which is able to end the war as well as the entire humankind.
John David Washington has been cast in the role of Joshua in the upcoming movie. Other cast members include Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, Madeleine Yuna Voyles, Allison Janney, Ralph Ineson, and Marc Menchaca. The movie is set to be released on September 29, 2023.
