Bloodhounds Recap

Fiction Horizon

In the captivating tale of ‘Bloodhounds,’ the narrative revolves around the journey of Kim Gun-woo, a young and aspiring boxer.

Faced with the urgency of repaying his mother’s loan, Gun-woo decides to participate in a rookie tournament to secure the necessary funds.

However, the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic has plunged small business owners into financial distress, making it increasingly challenging for them to settle their debts. This dire situation has given rise to individuals like Kim Myeong-Gil, a notorious loan shark.

Myeong-Gil sets his sights on getting involved in a business venture orchestrated by Hong Min-beom, an influential entrepreneur. This plan involves the acquisition of an under-construction hotel with the intention of transforming it into a casino.

However, when Hong rejects Myeong-Gil’s proposition, the loan shark resorts to employing his henchmen, who launch a brutal assault on Hong and capture an incriminating video, meant to humiliate him.

Gun-woo’s kind-heartedness contrasts with Woo-Jin’s street smarts. Hyeon-Ju, Mr. Choi’s granddaughter, aims to expose the man who deceived her grandfather.

Mr. Choi provides zero percent interest loans to those in need, and Yang Jae-Meyong exploited his kindness. However, Hyeon-Ju’s pursuit reveals a broader conspiracy.

Gun-woo’s mother falls victim to Small Capital, Myeong-Gil’s company, which offers her a loan at very low-interest rates but embezzles money from its clients.

When Gun-woo’s mother can’t repay the loan, her café is vandalized, leading Gun-woo to confront Myeong-Gil’s henchman but ultimately losing the fight and getting scarred in the process.
