The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 Part 1 picks up six months after the completion of Season 1’s Trevor Elliot case, and as the trailer shows, Mickey is still on a high from the exposure.
He’s been on magazine covers and given several high-profile interviews. However, Mickey’s newfound celebrity has its drawbacks, as he is approached in a parking lot and sucker-punched in the face, a reference to The Lincoln Lawyer season 1, which begins in a parking garage.
Mickey meets and becomes romantically connected with Lisa, who is eventually arrested while maintaining problematic ties with his ex-wives.
Even though the trailer closes with Lisa’s arrest, season 2 is based on the fourth novel in Connelly’s trilogy, The Fifth Witness, which contains more details.
Lisa is suspected of murdering the greedy real estate mogul Mitchell Bondurant. As Mickey investigates, he learns that his death may be linked to a bigger plot, including shady banking practices and mortgage fraud.
Despite the overwhelming proof against her, a critical piece of forensic evidence hints at her innocence, which Mickey intends to use to show her client’s innocence and uncover the truth behind the crime; Mickey must battle the ruthless prosecutor Andrea Freeman, who is unbeaten in court, to prove Lisa’s innocence.
But will things go as planned, or will there be strange clues that might interfere with the investigation? We will find out when the season airs on Netflix.

Following the thrilling end of Season 1, The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 updates reveal the return of most actors, with one important exception.
Trevor Elliot, played by Christopher Gorham, will not return for the following season. Fans may cheer, though, since the famous lawyer, Mickey Haller, played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, stays at the center of the show’s plot.
Neve Campbell will resume her role as Maggie McPherson, although on a frequent occasion, while Becki Newton will return as Lorna.
Jazz Raycole, who portrayed personal driver Izzy, and Angus Sampson, who played Cisco, will both reprise their roles.
Furthermore, Krista Werner and Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine will reprise their roles as Hayley Haller and Detective Raymond Griggs, respectively.
The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 also introduces fresh faces that will contribute to the growth story. Matt Angel joins the cast as Henry Dahl, an actual crime podcaster, and Lana Parilla as Lisa Trammell, Mickey’s longtime friend and business partner trying to keep her restaurant open in the face of a murder charge.
Yaya Dacosta joins the ensemble as prosecutor Andrea Freeman, a formidable criminal prosecutor, while acclaimed Mexican actress Angelica Maria plays Mickey’s arrogant mother.
With these additional people added to the mix, the second season can explore new dynamics and further deepen the plot.
