About The Format Of The Show Love Is Blind
The show follows thirty singles from the same metropolitan region, fifteen men and fifteen women, as they look for love. The men and women go on a 10-day blind dating inside special “pods” where they can hear one another but not see each other. They start off by being paired off in a fashion similar to speed dating, but later on, they have the option of going on dates that are far longer.
When they are ready, the daters can make a marriage proposal. After a marriage proposal has been made and accepted, a face-to-face meeting between the couple takes place. The engaged couples next travel to a resort for a couples retreat. The engaged couples return to the same city apartment building where they previously resided after the couples retreat.
They learn more about their partners’ lives while they are at the apartments, getting to know their friends and families as well as learning about their finances, hobbies, personal habits, and primary residence. At the conclusion of four weeks, they also schedule weddings.
During this time of wedding planning, the group of women goes shopping together for wedding dresses, while the group of men goes shopping together for suits. They each bring a few friends and/or family members with them. They also get to choose the style and flavor of their wedding cake.
