What Is the Plotline Of The Film Chupa?
The plot centers around Alex, a 13-year-old who travels from Kansas City to Mexico for the first time to meet his extended family. He meets Memo, an enthusiastic, wrestling-obsessed cousin of his grandfather Chava, a former Lucha libre champion, and Luna, a fearless, cool cousin.
However, just as Alex starts to feel at home, he comes across a legendary animal dwelling beneath his grandfather’s shed: a small chupacabra cub, which he is familiar with from tales of the dreaded, fully-grown chupacabra, which is said to prey on farmers’ livestock.
Soon after meeting “Chupa,” Alex discovers that the mysterious creature has a hidden past with his family and that dangerous scientist Richard Quinn is searching for it in an effort to harness its powers.
In order to save Chupa from imminent danger, Alex embarks on a once-in-a-lifetime journey that will test the limits of his newly formed family and serve as a reminder to him that life’s hardships are lighter when shared with others.
