The Last of Us Episode 6 and 7 Review.

The Last of Us Episode 6 and 7 was released last week, and here are some details you did not notice. Last week’s Last of Us episode may have been the series’ darkest and most tragic.

Fortunately, episode six, “Kin,” provides a tonal respite and shows us enough moments of optimism and opportunity for life in the post-cordyceps world to reassure us that it is still possible to create meaningful lives for ourselves.

Let’s take a look at understanding episode 6 of the series.

Beginning with a flashback to Henry’s terrible death after Episode 5, Episode 6 then jumps forward three months, where winter has set in wherever Joel and Ellie are in Wyoming.

To gather information, they seize an Indigenous couple, who explains that the landscape only gets worse from here and that anything west of a particular river might as well be dead.

They discover some survivors on horses around them as they continue to roam. Ellie and Joel are deemed clean by their smelling dog, but they are still hesitant to let them inside until a woman asks Joel his name.

The brothers are only reunited once it is discovered that they are from Tommy’s commune. Maria is the enigmatic woman; they became partners after Tommy quit the Fireflies.

Ellie leaves The Farewell Girl’s community screening undercover so she may listen in on Joel’s talk. To her, it appears Joel is leaving her, but a last-minute change of heart enables Joel to provide Ellie with a decision. She is going with Joel the rest of the way because it is what she wants.

The two arrive at the institution on a horse seized from the neighborhood only to discover it deserted and overrun with fugitive lab monkeys. They discover a map pointing to Salt Lake City, but raiders attack them before they can proceed.

Joel manages to snap the neck of the one who gets a hold of him. He, unfortunately, doesn’t escape unscathed since he impales himself without even realizing it. Ellie puts Joel onto their horse to escape danger, but after a while, Joel passes out, and Ellie is left with no notion of what to do or where to go.

Ellie needs this ending, even if it’s brutal and shocking: right after acknowledging that she needs Joel, he’s abruptly disappeared. Hopefully, she will continue to take care of Joel the next week and manage to reach their new destination of Salt Lake City.

What We can expect from the 7 episode of the “Last of us”: Trailer Explanation

Left Behind is the name of the next The Last of Us episode. Liza Johnson is directing, and Neil Druckmann wrote the script.

According to the promo, Ellie’s origin story will be thoroughly explored in the forthcoming episode. She attended the Boston QZ campus of FEDRA before joining Joel. She is shown running on a basketball court with her buddies and hanging out with a girl her age, who appears to be quite similar.

Ellie had previously admitted to Joel that she had killed someone, and the trailer suggests that we may see a similar tale unfold leading up to her first hunt. She can even be spotted hanging out with a pal at a clicker-infested abandoned mall.

Ellie stated that she committed her first murder in this mall but was alone. This episode will provide information and likely act as Ellie’s character’s foundation.
