Is Grand Crew Season 2 Coming In March 2023 on NBC?

NBC’s television sitcom ‘Grand Crew’ is just around the corner to arrive on NBC with Season 2. The plot of the series is set in LA and revolves around six friends living the lives of young Black professionals while navigating relationships and career drama.

They are the hopeless romantic Noah; Nicky, his sister who lives life to the fullest; unexpected genius Sherm, career-oriented finance guy Anthony, happily married Wyatt, and a recently divorced Fay who joins the crew recently while working at the place where the rest of the friends hang out.

When Is Grand Crew Season 2 Releasing?

The pilot of the series was ordered on January 23, 2020, by NBC. The rest of the series was announced to have been ordered on January 12, 2021. On 14th December the sitcom premiered with two “sneak episodes”.

Most of the cast members were announced in March 2020 with Grasie Mercedes joining the cast on August 17, 2021.

The series was renewed in May of 2022 for Grand Crew Season 2 which is scheduled to be released on March 3, 2023.

Hopeless romantic Noah Koles who thinks his life to be a romantic comedy and is in a hurry of settling down really quick is played by American actor Echo Kellum in the first season of the series.

He will also reprise this role in the upcoming second season. His other television credits include the American single-camera sitcom ‘Ben and Kate’ in which Kellum played Tommy from 2012 to 2013.

In the American sitcom, ‘Sean Saves the World’ he was cast as Hunter from 2013 to 2014. As Curtis Holt aka Mister Terrific, Kellum starred in DC Comics’ superhero tv series ‘Arrow’ from 2015 to 2020.

From 2016 to 2018 she was cast as Nicole Byer in the American comedy tv series ‘Loosely Exactly Nicole’ as well as served as writer and producer for it.

Byer’s other television credits include ‘The Birthday Boys’, ‘Party Over Here’, ‘Big City Greens’, ‘Snoopy in Space’, ‘Tuca & Bertie‘, ‘Rugrats’ etc. Since the year of 2018, Byer has been hosting the Netflix American comedic reality bake-off TV series ‘Nailed It!’ for which she was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards.

Accountant and vegan Anthony Holmes in the series are played by American actor Aaron Jennings who will also reprise this role in the upcoming season.

Jennings previously starred in the American medical drama series ‘Pure Genius’ playing Dr. Malik Verlaine from 2016 to 2017. He also appeared in minor roles in some other tv series.

The recently divorced new member of the friends’ gang Fay is played by American actress Grasie Mercedes in the series and will be back to play the role in the upcoming season. Mercedes previously appeared in minor roles in other series and is set to star in ‘Two Roads’ and ‘La Petite Mort’.

American actress producer Maya Lynne Robinson is a recurring cast member of the series who will also presumably be back for the second season.

Robinson previously played Veena Williams-Conner in ABC’s American sitcom ‘The Conners as a main cast member in the first season from 2018 to 2019 and as a guest cast in season three in 2023. She was also cast in the role of the main character Michelle in the CBS American sitcom ‘The Unicorn from 2019 to 2021.

Robinson is also a stage actress whose most important theatre credits include ‘Insurrection: Holding History’, ‘In the Red and Brown Water’, ‘Disgraced’, ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’, etc.

The first season of the series gained an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. According to ten credit reviews it received an average rating of eight out of ten. The cast of friends also received general approval, especially Nicole Byer.
