In a world plagued by a pandemic of insanity that is transmitted through interpersonal interaction, the plot of the series centers on Murat, the one person who, for some inexplicable reason, has remained immune to the effects of the disease.

Murat has taken refuge with his mother in order to weather the storm; nevertheless, he is the only person who is immune to the disease that is spreading rapidly among the population. His mother begs him to “live a little,” so his visit is not altogether trouble-free.

Murat and those who have escaped the plague travel about Istanbul and the world wearing headphones that shield them from the “jabberers,” or those who have already contracted the disease.

Soon enough, his apparent goodness compels him to put himself in danger in order to protect a young boy from one of these jabberers’ attacks. Murat is persuaded by his mother to join him in a brand-new high-stakes game, and as a result, the linguist is thrust into a confrontation with the brutal Anti-Epidemic Institution, the organization in charge of this dystopian society.

Murat has no choice but to leave the secure zone because nothing about the world is the same as it was, even if the oceans retain their saltiness and birds continue to fly through the air.

Also, Murat sets out on a wild adventure with Sule (Hazal Subas) and others who share his ideas in an effort to learn the truth about his immunity and his “hot skull.”
