Christmas With You Release Date, and Everything About Upcoming Christmas Movie

Seven days after ‘Falling for Christmas’, Netflix will air another Christmas-themed movie to level up the festive mood a bit more. Gabriela Tagliavini has directed the film starring Aimee Garcia and Freddie Prinze Jr. in the leading roles.

The movie Christmas With You falls under the family comedy romantic genre and may well be a fitting prop for celebration.

Plot Line of Christmas With You:

The plot line of the movie is hinted at in the trailer to an understandable limit. It revolves around a woman who is a famous pop star and a man inhibiting a small town.

When the pop star experiences career burnout, she decides to connect with her fans as a means to retain her self-worth. She reaches a small town at Christmas to meet a fan girl named Cristina.

Eventually, she decides to spend some days with her and her family and thus comes across her father. The two get connected soon and she gains inspiration as well as love.

Aimee Garcia-

American actress Aimee Garcia will be seen portraying the pop star in the upcoming movie. Garcia’s previous film credits include ‘D-War’ (as Brandy), ‘Dead Tone’ (as Jody Walters), ‘Universal Signs’ (as Trish), ‘Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous’ (as Private Vicky Castillo), ‘B-Girl’ (as Rosie), ‘Go for It!’ (as Carmen Salgado), ‘RoboCop’ (as Jae Kim), ‘Sister Cities’ (as Sarah), ‘What They Had’ (as Dr. Zoe), ‘Saint Judy’ (as Celi), ‘El Chicano’ (as Vanessa), ‘Murder at Yellowstone City’ (as Isabel Santos), etc.

Garcia also starred in the PBS tv series ‘American Family’ in 2002 in the recurring role of Young Nina.

From 2002 to 2003 she played the main character of Maria Tiant in the sitcom ‘Greetings from Tucson’ and from 2003 to 2004 she starred as Lydia Serrano, again the main character, in the sitcom ‘All About the Andersons’.

In the sitcom ‘George Lopez as Veronica Palmero, she was cast as a recurring character in season five and as the main character in season six from 2006 to 2007.

In NBC’s medical drama series ‘Trauma’ Garcia played the primary character Marisa Benz from 2009 to 2010. As Jamie Batista, Garcia was cast as a recurring cast member in the sixth and seventh season of the crime drama series ‘Dexter‘ from 2011 to 2013.

From 2012 to 2013 she played Yvonne Sanchez in CBS period drama ‘Vegas’. And lastly in 2023 in the second season of the American comedy series ‘Woke’ Garcia played another recurring character Laura.

As the lead cast member, she was cast in 2016 in CBS’ police procedural comedy series ‘Rush Hour. Then fro. 2016 to 2021 as Ella Lopez from season two to season six Garcia acted in the urban fantasy tv series ‘Lucifer‘. In 2021 she played Jodie in Marvel’s stop-motion adult animated series ‘M.O.D.O.K.‘.

Freddie Prinze Jr.-

American actor Freddie Prinze Jr. will star as the small-town man in the upcoming movie. Prinze starred in the 1997 slasher movie ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer as Ray Bronson and reprised this role next year in the second film of the series ‘I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.

In 1999 Prinze was cast as Zachary Siler or Zack in the teen romantic comedy movie ‘She’s All That’. Portraying the role of Fred Jones, Prinze was cast in the 2002 live-action computer-animated fantasy adventure comedy movie ‘Scooby-Doo’ and reprised this role in ‘Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed’ in 2004.

Prinze starred as Donny Crane in the legal drama series ‘Boston Legal’ from 2004 to 2006. And in the titular lead character of Freddie Moreno, he was cast in ABC’s sitcom ‘Freddie’ from 2005 to 2006.

Trailer and Release Date

Netflix released the official trailer for the upcoming romantic comedy movie Christmas With You on October 19, 2022.

In that trailer, viewers can see Garcia playing the famous pop star in a lavish colorful dress and lifestyle at the height of her popularity at the beginning of the video and in parallel the simple warm lives of the father and daughter living in a small town.

It can also be presumed that songs will have a crucial contribution in the popular woman and the homely man getting close. But what most clearly can be assumed from the trailer is that December is just one month away.

Christmas With You is set to release on Netflix on November 17, 2022.
