Hellbound Season 2 Update: Netflix officially announced on Instagram that “Hellbound”, the South Korean dark fantasy series, is going to be back with season 2.
The South Korean dark fantasy series, Hellbound, was based on the webtoon of the same name by its director, Yeon Sang-ho. In this futuristic Netflix original series released on November 19, 2021, supernatural beings emerged out of nowhere to damn individuals to hell.
The first series of the show starred Yoo Ah-in, Kim Hyun-Joo, Park Jeong-min, Won Jin-ah, and Yang Ik-June. It had six episodes in total. The day after its Netflix debut on November 19, 2021, it surpassed Squid Game to become the most-watched Netflix series in the world.
At Tulum, the streaming service’s global fan event, the 2021 drama’s sequel was unveiled. The company commented in a press release, “Fans can look forward to Season 2 exploring the themes of mortality, sin, and justice with greater scale and depth.”

As a result of this, the show was able to go to the top of the global TV Non-English chart. It received lots of appreciation from all over the world. As a result of which on September 24 it was officially announced that the series Hellbound’ will be back with its second part. The admirers of the show have been anticipating it for a long period of time and their wish is finally going to be fulfilled.
