The critically acclaimed and commercially successful musical picture Enchanted was released in 2007, and Disenchanted is its sequel. With its innovative and unique take on fairytales, Enchanted quickly earned its place in pop culture’s history after making its critically acclaimed 2007 debut. After almost 15 years, the eagerly anticipated Disenchanted will release a sequel.

When Disney revealed during its Disney Investors Day that the movie would eventually be released in 2022, fans wanted to learn further specifics.

Adam Shankman is the creator and director of the upcoming live-action/animated musical fantasy romantic comedy film titled Disenchanted. Along with Barry Sonnenfeld and Barry Josephson, Adams is the movie’s co-producer.

The premiere of Disenchanted has been set for November 24th, 2022. Plans for the Enchanted sequel first surfaced in 2010, and Anna Fletcher was first chosen to direct the film, which was initially scheduled for release in 2011. Since then, a few things have changed.

In 2016, Adam Shankman agreed to helm the movie, and the movie’s script was completed in 2018.

Disenchanted’s cast and crew started shooting in May 2021, and the majority of the sequences were filmed all around Ireland and the United Kingdom. Shankman shared on Instagram that main filming would wrap up in August 2021. In April 2022, new footage for a few movie sequences was shot in New York City.

Disenchanted’s official trailer was unveiled on September 10, 2022, concurrent with the yearly D23 exhibition. The trailer shows Robert, Morgan, and their new child relocating to a nice suburban area with Giselle and her family.

The everlasting optimist, however, finds it difficult to find her happily ever after in the outside world after witnessing how quickly these things occur in Andalaisa.

Giselle decides to take charge of the situation after receiving support and encouragement from Prince Edward.

However, you are aware of the saying, “be cautious about what you wish for.” Without giving away too much of the story, the trailer does a fantastic job of establishing what to expect from the next movie.

Where To Stream The Film Disenchanted?

Disney Plus is the only place where Disenchanted gets broadcast. The streaming service must be subscribed to in order to view the film. Currently, you have the option of subscribing to Disney Plus separately or to The Disney Bundle, which also includes ESPN Plus and Hulu.

More About The Film

The previous film’s composers, Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz will return to provide music for the sequel, director Adam Shankman announced in March 2018.

Menken confirmed that he had begun writing the music for the movie in March 2020. Menken revealed that he and Schwartz were penning the songs for the movie in April 2020. Patrick Dempsey confirmed that he would be singing in a late April 2021 interview.

Schwartz announced in May 2021 that there would be seven songs and reprises in the movie, including two songs for Nancy, who is portrayed by Menzel and whose song from the previous movie was removed. On August 29, 2022, the Newman Scoring Stage was used to record the music and soundtrack for the movie.
