I Used To Be Famous Release Date, Cast, Plot, and All you need to know

There are many stories of struggling musicians in movies and television shows. However, the latest Netflix movie, “I Used to Be Famous,” appears to believe that there is still some gas in the tank for one more exploration of the movie subgenre.

When you’re a youngster or a teenager in the music industry, you risk peaking too soon and falling out of the spotlight before you’re ready. Unfortunately, that is exactly what happens to Ed Skrein’s (Game of Thrones, Deadpool) protagonist, Vince, in Netflix’s forthcoming feature, I Used to Be Famous.

A new teaser portrays Vince’s early years in fame before falling from grace and attempting to re-climb the fame ladder. Now an adult, Vince is still recovering from his days as the leader of a mega-successful boy band and is seeking a means to get his foot back on the ground.

The teaser explains that the artist has been suffering since the band’s split, attempting to build a name for himself but never truly being able to leave a lasting impression. It isn’t until he meets youngster Stevie (Leo Long) that his music takes shape. Stevie, an autistic drummer, quickly finds himself as one half of an indie duo alongside Vince.

On their path back to the stages Vince previously knew, the two encounter continual criticism during shows and from critics around every corner as they regain their groove. The clip depicts Vince’s determination to reclaim his previous life but failure to find his light.

He continues working on his solo record, but the people he presents his songs dismiss him. But, unable to let up, he sets up his instruments at a marketplace and begins to perform his song.

A small child sitting next to him, however, begins hitting his drumsticks to the melody he is playing. This piques his attention as the two receive a wave of applause from the audience. He then persuades Stevie’s mother to work with him on performance. The two proceed to practice their act before their first gig.
