Quantum Leap Release Date, Cast, Plot, and Everything we know so far

The new Quantum Leap, which stars Dr. Ben Song (Raymond Lee) and is set 30 years after the famous Dr. Sam Beckett vanishes into the Quantum Leap, has its premiere date revealed by NBC on June 29. Sci-fi lovers, set your alarms for September because we are going to have some fun body-hopping. Details follow. 

Fans, celebrate: NBC will debut the eagerly awaited Quantum Leap sequel series this fall! The first season of Sam Beckett, a scientist stranded in time after a failed experiment forced him to jump between bodies, was shown from 1989 to 1993.

A new character, Dr. Ben Song, played by Raymond Lee, is the focus of the new Quantum Leap sequel, which is set 30 years after Dr. Sam Beckett vanishes into the Quantum Leap accelerator. 

The duty of leading a new team to unravel the riddles surrounding the initial experiment and missing scientist Dr. Sam Beckett has been given to Dr. Song. Ernie Hudson, Caitlin Bassett, Nanrisa Lee, and Mason Alexander Park will also appear in the series.

There are a few surprises in store for fans of the first Quantum Leap, including the reappearance of some familiar faces and the continuation of the most well-liked plot threads.

Hudson plays Herbert “Magic” Williams, a character that was first introduced in Season 3 of the original series, and is well-known for his work in the HBO series Oz. Magic, a veteran of the Vietnam War, advances the Project using his clever military and political negotiating techniques. 

Admiral Al Calavicci is recast in the new series as Addison, another crucial member of the crew who keeps in touch with anyone engaged in an active time-travel mission.

Nanrisa Lee of Star Trek: Picard will play Jenn, the project’s head of security, and Mason Alexander Park of Cowboy Bebop will play Ian, the chief architect of Quantum Leap’s artificial intelligence (AI) system. 

We may anticipate that NBC will include in their fall 2022 schedule. Following The Voice on NBC on Monday, September 19 at 10 p.m. ET, Quantum Leap will make its television debut.
